Abstract

Building on Pope Francis's Laudato Si', this article develops a creational pneumatology centered on Rûah Elohim, God's Creative Spirit, as the primordial power that makes creation the “perichoretic receptacle” of the Triune God. From this foundation the author articulates Cosmicism, an emerging ecomysticism inviting believers to experience Rûah Elohim as the cosmic power sustaining the ongoing re-creation of the Cosmos-Earth. The final section reimagines humans as “humans-as-cosmic-spirits” called to exercise a contemplative and apostolic Enspirited Leadership that translates an ethics of alterity into sustainable care for creation. The article contributes a theological foundation for ecological engagement rooted in pneumatology, cosmology, and mysticism.
