Abstract

In today's busy world, rest is rare and often seen as a personal need for mental health. However, should rest always be viewed as only for individuals? Does it relate to the Church's life? What role does rest play in synodality and spreading God's Word? Our Te-Er experience in Sadanga, Mountain Province, highlighted how important rest is for deeper listening to God's message. In this contribution, an overview of the Cordilleran concept of Te-Er or rest will be presented and related to some of the biblical notions of rest in the Old Testament and in the New Testament.
