Abstract

The inaugural address of Fr. Renato R. Repole, SJ, delivered on his investiture as the 11th President of Loyola School of Theology, surveys LST's milestones after sixty years as a theological school and twenty-five as an ecclesiastical faculty, including record enrollment, growing internationalization, hybrid instruction, and global rankings recognition. Repole then lays out pressing concerns for LST's forthcoming strategic plan: forming students to theologize in context, responding ethically to artificial intelligence and digital culture, ensuring theology remains pastoral and missionary, deepening interdisciplinarity, expanding institutional networking, promoting integral ecology, implementing the Synod on Synodality's calls for reform, and strengthening safeguarding protocols, framed throughout by Ignatian collaborative discernment.
