The Gospel of Hope

The Catholic world celebrates another Holy Year in 2025, which promises to be a time of immense grace and conversion. The special motto assigned for this jubilee is "Pilgrims of Hope," in accord with the intention of Pope Francis to connect the celebration of the jubilee with the strengthening of hope in every human heart as the world moves away from traumas of the Covid-19 pandemic and from the catastrophes that occurred at the tail-end of this crisis. This calls for a renewed focus on the theme of Christian hope, which although one of the three theological virtues, is the least discussed or explored in theology.
