Antony Thomas Ittikunnath, OCD

Antony Thomas Ittikunnath, OCD, was a Carmelite priest of the Manjummel Province of the Order of Discalced Carmelites in Kerala, India. In 2011, he obtained a Licentiate in Family Science and Counseling from CANA/NCFFLP, Kerala, the Asian section of the John Paul II Institute for Studies on Marriage and Family of the Lateran University in Rome. He later pursued doctoral studies at Loyola School of Theology, Ateneo de Manila University, earning a Doctorate in Sacred Theology in 2019, specializing in Spirituality and Pastoral Psychology. His academic and pastoral interests included family counseling, pastoral psychology, and the challenges faced by young people. He was remembered as a Carmelite priest whose work brought psychological insights into dialogue with pastoral care.
