Gianni Criveller, P.I.M.E.

Gianni Criveller, PIME is an Italian missionary, theologian, historian, and scholar specializing in the encounter between China and Christianity. He has taught in Hong Kong and Greater China since 1991, researching Christian evangelization, missionary strategies, and the history of Catholicism in China. He earned a doctorate in dogmatic theology from the Pontifical Faculty of Southern Italy in 1996. Formerly Dean of Studies at the PIME International Theological Missionary Institute in Monza, Italy, he currently directs the PIME Centre in Milan, the magazine Mondo e Missione, and the news agency AsiaNews. He has published numerous books and scholarly articles on Christianity in China.
