Jieqi Huang, CSIC
Jieqi Huang, CSIC, is a religious sister of the Congregation of the Chinese Sisters of the Immaculate Conception. She obtained her Master of Arts in Theological Studies, with a concentration in Biblical Theology, from Loyola School of Theology, Ateneo de Manila University. Before pursuing theological studies, she served in parish ministry, taught catechism, and assisted in the formation of novices in her congregation. Her research focuses on the Gospel of Luke, particularly the theme of joy in the infancy narratives. Her thesis, Patterns of Joy in the Lucan Gospel: A Narrative Critical Reading of Lk 1:5–2:52, employs narrative criticism to explore the relationship between joy, salvation, God’s plan, and reversal in Luke’s Gospel. An article based on this research, “Glimpses of Joy in the Beginning of the Lucan Gospel: A Narrative-Critical Reading of Lk 1:5–2:52,” appeared in Loyola Papers, Vol. 6, No. 2 (2025).
