Ramon Mikhail Paulo E. Nicdao

Ramon Paulo Nicdao is a priest of the Diocese of Cubao, Philippines. He holds a Baccalaureate in Sacred Theology and a Master of Arts in Theological Studies, specializing in Systematic Theology. His master’s thesis, “Engaging Dialogue with the Masters: Ignatius and Screwtape on Discernment,” explores the interplay between Ignatian spirituality and literature through an imaginative dialogue between St. Ignatius of Loyola and Screwtape, the master tempter in C. S. Lewis’s The Screwtape Letters. Drawing on the Rules for Discernment of Spirits in the Spiritual Exercises and employing narrative criticism, his study examines the dynamics of spiritual consolation and desolation in Christian life. It highlights the importance of discernment not only when facing significant life decisions but also in the ordinary choices of everyday living.
