Abstract

This paper documents the design of the Grade 12 Christian Life Education curriculum at Xavier School Nuvali, developed as a reference for Jesuit basic-education schools seeking a common catechetical framework. The author integrates the Ignatian Pedagogical Paradigm's cycle of context, experience, reflection, action, and evaluation with Thomas Groome's Shared Christian Praxis or 'Life-Faith-Life' approach, aligning both with Understanding by Design principles and the school's six Jesuit core values. Through a Christocentric methodology grounded in Church teaching on catechesis, the curriculum aims to move students beyond content acquisition toward meaning-making, communal reflection, and lived Christian discipleship. The study offers practical unit-design tables and processing guidelines intended to help teachers form students capable of acting on their faith convictions.
