Abstract

This article uses the FABC's Theology of the Laity to assess the formation program of the Institute of Formation-Fondacio (IFF) Asia, an eleven-month lay formation program for young adults. Comparing IFF Asia's practices against FABC plenary assembly teaching on renewal, formation of the laity, ecclesiology, integral evangelization, and pastoral method, the author finds substantial congruence between the two and proposes an "ecosystem of charism, vocation, and ministry" in which ordained, religious, and lay vocations are mutually interdependent, while identifying areas, such as deeper engagement with the poor and formation tools, where the program could still grow.
