Abstract

Drawing on her experience in youth ministry in the Archdiocese of Goa, India, the author examines how the FABC's vision of a "new way of being Church" can be realized by engaging youth as evangelizers rather than merely objects of pastoral care. Through the theological lenses of communio ecclesiology, evangelization, and missional participation, the article surveys FABC teaching on youth since 1970, diagnoses a persistent gap between rhetoric and practice regarding youth involvement in decision-making, and proposes a formation program, addressing personnel, infrastructure, finances, mission exposure, and mindset, to help the Church of Goa move toward being evangelized by youth as genuine partners in mission.
