Abstract

This study explores Joseph Ratzinger's theological anthropology, arguing that the human person is best understood as relatio (relation) in light of Ratzinger's Logos-Dialogos theology. Since the Logos became flesh and is historical, the search for truth about the human person is inseparable from the person of Jesus Christ revealed in history. The study shows how this Christocentric and relational anthropology grounds the human person's identity in dialogue and communion rather than in the self alone.
