Kenneth Z. Vergara

Kenneth Z. Vergara obtained his Bachelor of Arts in History from the Pontifical and Royal University of Santo Tomas, Manila in 2022. A ground-level Thomasian student leader, he graduated Magna Cum Laude and focused his undergraduate research interest on Philippine democratic history, church history, Philippine diaspora, and diplomatic history. He completed his Master’s degree in International Studies at Sogang University—a Jesuit-run institution in Seoul, South Korea—in 2026, majoring in International Relations with a minor in East Asian Studies. For his master’s thesis, he examined China–Vatican relations, focusing on the Provisional Agreement on the appointment of bishops in mainland dioceses. This work built upon his foundational interest in church history while expanding his theoretical insight into international affairs and regional studies.
